MARION MAN REFRESHES FINANCES WITH $100,000 SODA STOP
December 2, 2011
Jason Hoffheins of Marion just wanted a soda when he stopped off at Marketplace at 2210 Huntington Road in Marion yesterday. Thanks to an impulsive Hoosier Lottery purchase, Hoffheins got a lot more than he bargained for - $100,000 more to be exact.
“I try to buy the first few tickets of a new game when it first comes out,” said Hoffheins.
That strategy paid off when the Money Bag Multiplier ticket he purchased turned out to be a $100,000 top prize winner. The game debuted Dec. 1. Hoffheins purchased his winning ticket just hours after the game went on sale across the state. He is the first lucky player to claim a top-prize on the new game.
The Grant County man plans to help his parents out financially, refresh his own finances and possibly buy a used truck with his windfall.
