MALTA WOMAN CLAIMS $10,000 SCRATCH TOP PRIZE

Mary Waters of Malta Friday claimed a $10,000 top prize for “The Cash Spot Game” Scratch game with a ticket from Malta Bestway Foods, 411 S. 5th St. W.
Mary usually buys her tickets from another retailer but decided to stop at Malta Bestway Foods the day she purchased “The Cash Spot Game.”
Later at home, Mary was scratching her tickets while her husband Brent was napping. She scratched the first box, which revealed $1,000. Then she scratched the second box: another $1,000! The pattern continued around the ticket until her total prize added up to $10,000. She walked over to where her husband was resting.
“How much would I have to win to wake you up?” she asked. He raised his eyelids and perked up.
Mary was still deciding Friday how she would spend her winnings, but she said at least her holiday shopping would be covered now!
“The Cash Spot Game” debuted Oct. 11 with prizes up to $10,000.
