LUNCH BREAK PROVES LUCKY FOR FREMONT COUNTY WOMAN

A Fremont County woman took some time over her lunch break to scratch her "Betty Boop" ticket and ended up winning a top prize of $15,000.
Myra Mullins, 54, was taking a break in the park from her bilingual associate job at West Central Community Action Agency (also known as Head Start) in Hamburg, when she decided to scratch the ticket.
"I looked at it two or three times and thought, 'That's not right; that can't be right,'" Mullins said.
Mullins immediately took the ticket back to Casey's, 1211 Washington St. in Hamburg, to have the ticket validated.
"They said, 'No, you're right! You won $15,000!'" she said.
Mullins, who lives in Tabor, decided to return to work to finish out her afternoon shift before claiming her prize Friday at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Council Bluffs.
"I said, 'You're not going to believe what happened!'" Mullins said as she shared the news with her co-workers.
Mullins said this win couldn't have come at a better time. She plans to use some of the winnings to pay bills, which she said will help make her life stress-free.
"Once in a while I'll play," she said. "It was just luck that I picked this ticket."
Mullins said her phone has been ringing off the hook since news has spread.
"I guess they needed to talk to me to make sure it was real," she said.
