LUCKY FEELING LEADS NEVIS MAN TO $500,000 WIN
July 27, 2011
Jim Hamilton, the owner of Iron Horse Bar & Grill in Nevis, said he was about to give up on playing the lottery when a “lucky feeling” led him in a different direction.
After purchasing $500,000 Classic Cash tickets at T & M Express, located at 116 Bunyan Trail Drive in Nevis, Hamilton says he “got a lucky feeling about playing from that particular pack of tickets.” After buying tickets solely from that pack his persistence paid off in a big way — he won a $500,000 top prize.
“My legs got a little weak,” Hamilton recalled after discovering his win. “I finally did it. After years of practicing, I finally won something big.”
Hamilton claimed the prize at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville on July 26.
