LUCK IS IN THE AIR FOR ILLINOIS RESIDENTS
September 26, 2011
Sometimes when it rains, it pours, and for the Illinois Lottery that means a lot more sunny days for some lucky Illinoisans. Last night’s Illinois Lottery drawings produced three big winners, including one multi-millionaire.
• A winning Lotto ticket worth $3,250,000 was sold in Bloomington at the Commerce Shell, 1801 S. Veterans Parkway.
• In Westchester a winning Powerball ticket worth $200,000 was sold at Pride of Westchester, 11201 Cermak Road.
• In Melrose Park a Little Lotto $100,000 winning ticket was sold overnight at Food 4 Less, 2501 W. North Ave.
Earlier this week, a $250,000 MegaMillions winning ticket was sold at Speedway, 8424 Willow Springs
Road in Willow Springs, and two Little Lotto winning tickets both for $100,000 were sold in Chicago at the 7-Eleven, 10301 S. Sawyer Ave. and at Jumpin Jimmy’s, 1507 W. Fayette in Effingham.
“This is what it is all about, winning and winning big,” said Victor Golden, Interim Superintendent of the Illinois Lottery. “This week, we had a gentleman cash his winning Little Lotto ticket for $100,000 and he told me he plans to use the money to put his granddaughter through college. It’s wonderful to see our players do amazing things with their winnings.
