LOMBARD MAN CLAIMS ILLINOIS LOTTERYS FIRST MERRY MILLIONAIRE TOP PRIZE OF $1,000,000

A Lombard man was presented with a ceremonial check today for $1,000,000 from the Illinois Lottery. Scott Anetsberger bought his winning Merry Millionaire instant ticket at J&P Food in Villa Park. Scott is the first to claim one of three $1,000,000 grand prizes from the instant game.
This is not Scott’s first big win or million. “I won $1,000,000 about nine years ago from the Merry Millionaire game,” said Anetsberger. He plans on using his winnings to pay bills and send his two younger children to college.
J&P Food received a $6,000 bonus, one percent of the jackpot amount, for selling a winning ticket. Store manager, Pranav Patel was excited when he heard that they sold a winning Merry Millionaire ticket. “He’s a regular at our store and we’re happy that he won” Patel said.
