JACKPOT PRIZE WINNERS FROM STATEN ISLAND, QUEENS, LONG ISLAND SHARE $3,000,000 IN LOTTERY PRIZES

The New York Lottery’s Yolanda Vega today presented over-sized prize checks to three of New York’s newest Lottery jackpot winners from Staten Island, Queens and Long Island. Lottery winners who received an over-sized jackpot prize check in the amount of $1,000,000 included:
John Savalak, a Broadcast Engineer at Madison Square Garden Network from Great Kills, Staten Island. The 61-year-old claimed his $1,000,000 Sweet Million prize on August 19 at the New York Lottery’s New York City Customer Service Center. He purchased his winning Sweet Million ticket for the August 11th drawing at Ray Grocery on Giffords Lane on Staten Island. The Richmond County resident will receive his prize as a one-time lump sum payment of $621,540.
Jamie Lauth, 35, of Huntington, Suffolk County. The newly wed Lauth is New York’s first $1,000,000 winner on the Extreme Cash instant game. The special education teacher purchased her ticket at the Cards N Things store on Clay Pitts Road in East Northport. She plans to use her prize, to be paid as $50,000 a year for 20 years, to make a down payment on a new home for her and her husband of four months.
Antonios and Fotini Stilos of Astoria, Queens. Fifty-nine-year-old Stilos and his 56-year-old wife, Fotini, opted to split the $1,000,000 top prize on the One Million Bucks scratch-off game. The father of three who works as a waiter in midtown purchased the couple’s $1,000,000 winner at Infinity News on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan. The couple plans to use their prize to help their children and move into a larger apartment. The $1,000,000 prize on the One Million Bucks game is paid as $50,000 a year for 20 years, netting each $15,538 a year through 2030.
