IOWA MAN CLAIMS $7,500,000 HOT LOTTO JACKPOT

Wally Markham of Waterloo, IA on Nov. 9, 2011 claimed his $7.5 million Hot Lotto jackpot from the Nov. 5, 2011 drawing.
The retired Markham purchased his winning ticket at a Kwik Stop in Waterloo; the store will receive a $5,000 bonus for the sale. The odds of winning the jackpot playing Hot Lotto are 1:10,939,383. Markham chose to take his winnings in a lump sum, bringing home $3.947 million after taxes. Aside from investing part of it, he says he has no immediate plans for the money.
