ILLINOIS WOMAN RELISHING SWEET SOUND OF WINNING

Leticia Garfio wears a few different hats. She is a guitar player in an all-girl band, an acupuncture student and a travel enthusiast. After scooping up a $200,000 win from the Hoosier Lottery she is also a lottery winner!
The lucky young lady purchased a top-prize winning Break the Bank Scratch-off at Speedway at 4705 Calumet Ave. in Hammond, Ind. over the weekend. As she claimed her big prize at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters Monday morning she said she wants to use some of her winnings to help others.
“I’m passionate about a lot of different things. I have a lot of passion for helping others, particularly health, children and education related non-profits,” said Garfio.
Garfio lives in Cicero, Ill. where she works at Whole Foods. She plans to continue with her schooling, but is most excited to be able to use her winnings to pursue her music career. She also hopes to be able to travel a little bit as well.
“I’m so amazed,” said Garfio. “I can’t believe it happened.”
