GOVERNOR DAYTON NAMES JENNY CANFIELD AS ACTING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR MINNESOTA STATE LOTTERY

Governor Mark Dayton today announced the appointment of Jenny Canfield as Acting Executive Director of the Minnesota State Lottery. Canfield has more than 20 years of experience with the Roseville-based Lottery.
“I’m honored and humbled to have the opportunity to lead this innovative Lottery and work for Governor Dayton,” Canfield said. “The Minnesota State Lottery has a national reputation, and I’m excited to lead this dynamic organization and its dedicated staff in our important mission: to raise revenue for the state of Minnesota.”
Canfield is currently Director for Operations for the Lottery. She has risen through the ranks, first serving as an administrative assistant, then Online Games Manager, Games Control Manager and, finally, Director for Operations, which essentially oversees the overall operations and games of the Lottery. “Since my first day on the job, I have had a passion for the lottery industry,” Canfield stated. “I have always looked for ways for the Lottery to be more innovative and am excited to have the opportunity to continue to move the Lottery forward in my new position as Acting Lottery Director.”
Canfield replaces Clint Harris, who has requested a leave of absence.
