GLEN ALLEN MAN QUIETLY WINS $25,000 IN VIRGINIAS NEW YEARS MILLIONAIRE RAFFLE

Matthew Perryman of Glen Allen didn’t make a ruckus when he discovered he’d won $25,000 in Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle. He didn’t need to.
“I didn’t say anything,” he told Lottery officials as he claimed his prize. “I gave it to my wife and she got all excited.”
Mr. Perryman, who works as a retail manager, bought ticket #327222 while grocery shopping at Martin’s Food Market, 10150 Brook Road in Glen Allen.
He was one of six $25,000 winners in the New Year’s Day drawing. The other five winners bought their tickets in Burke, Chesapeake, Clear Brook, Hampton and Richmond.
Three tickets won the $1 million top prize in Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle. Those tickets were bought in Clarksville, Great Falls and Stuarts Draft. An additional 300 tickets each won $500.
