FINANCIAL ANALYST BANKS $500,000 WITH VIRGINIA LOTTERY GAME

Bill Marchese of Richmond knows a thing or two about handling money. The financial analyst found himself with an extra $500,000 to deal with, after winning the top prize in the Virginia Lottery’s Lucky Casino game. But first he had to convince his girlfriend that the winning ticket was not a gag.
He bought the ticket at Glenside Mobile, 5401 Glenside Drive in Richmond.
Mr. Marchese, who lived in New York until recently, told Lottery officials he hopes to pay debts and maybe take a trip with his winnings.
Mr. Marchese claimed the fourth and final top prize in Lucky Casino, which means the game is closed. It is the Virginia Lottery’s policy to close Scratcher games as soon as the final top prize is claimed.
