CHESAPEAKE MAN SCORES IN HAIL TO THE REDSKINS GAME
January 11, 2012
Bruce Raper of Chesapeake scored a touchdown in the Virginia Lottery’s Hail to the Redskins Scratcher game. Mr. Raper, who described himself as a Washington Redskins fan, won the game’s top prize of $100,000 with a ticket he bought at Harris Teeter, 237 Hanbury Road E in Chesapeake.

He told Lottery officials he scratched the ticket in the store after he bought it. He showed one of the store managers, who confirmed he’d won $100,000. He then took the ticket home and put it in a lockbox until he could claim the prize at the Lottery customer service center in Hampton.
