Someone in Washington will soon be $6.4 million richer! One lucky ticket matched the numbers drawn on Saturday. So far, no one has stepped forward to claim the prize. The winning numbers from the Saturday, July 9 drawing for Lotto were: 01-04-08-09-29-48.
“Typically, Lotto jackpot winners come forward to claim their prize within a few days,” remarked Lottery spokesperson Jean Flynn. “We’re excited to make someone’s year. A win this big will change someone’s life!”
The lucky winner will have options for their prize; a cash option of $2.4 million after taxes or annual payments of $192,000 per year for 25 years.
The person who chose the winning Lotto numbers has until January 5, 2012 to claim his or her ticket. The winning ticket holder should sign the back of the ticket, keep the ticket in a secure, cool dry place, and call the Lottery office for more information and to make an appointment to claim.
Saturday’s drawing means a win for the Auburn store that sold the winning ticket, too. For its efforts, the store will receive a retail selling bonus of $64,000.
