CALIFORNIA MAN CLAIMS $78 MILLION MEGA MILLIONS JACKPOT

Charles Hairston of Paso Robles, CA has claimed the $78 million Mega Millions jackpot from the November 1, 2011 drawing. The 82-year-old retired welder and Korean War vet purchased his winning ticket at a Paso Robles convenience store. The store will receive a $390,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. Although he has no immediate plans for what to do with his winnings, Hairston says he'll try to be smart in how he spends it.
