BURKE MAN WINS $25,000 IN VIRGINIAS NEW YEARS MILLIONAIRE RAFFLE

In previous years, Dennis Trainor of Burke had bought one ticket for Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle. This year, he decided to buy a few tickets at the Burke Sunoco at 9414 Old Burke Lake Road in Burke.
Mr. Trainor, a recently retired federal government employee and regular Cash 5 player, told Lottery officials he felt exhausted after making a trip to the West Coast with his wife to visit their children. After a good night’s sleep, he was wide awake when he found the winning ticket while checking his numbers! It was the last ticket he checked.
He exclaimed, “I won $25,000!”
His wife replied, “Get out of here!”
Mr. Trainor told lottery officials he plans to pay off a couple bills and take his wife on a trip for her birthday.
