With extra cash burning a hole in his pocket, a Bloomington man plans to thrill his wife and add some value to his house with a home remodeling project. New carpet and hardwood floors are on the horizon for Donald Jones and his wife this Christmas after Jones scratched off a $50,000 win on a Hoosier Lottery Break the Bank Scratch-off.
The lifelong Hoosier claimed his prize Monday at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis. He purchased his winning ticket Thanksgiving Day at Circle S Mart at 530 College Mall Road in Bloomington.
Jones is a coiler at Cook Medical in Bloomington. He and his wife have 13 grandchildren between them.
