BIG WIN FOR YELLOWKNIFE COUPLE

A free LOTTO MAX ticket has changed the lives of Kevin and Theresa Brooks. The ticket won the game’s second Top Prize of $669,940.60 on the November 11th draw!
The couple had a stack of lottery tickets at home and decided to check them at the Reddi Mart, located on 5014-49th Street in Yellowknife. Several of those tickets won Free Plays that were entered in the November 11th LOTTO MAX draw. On Sunday, November 13th, Kevin took his free tickets to be checked.
After checking the several other Free Plays at the Self Checker, this one came up a winner!
“I thought, ‘Oh my God! Oh my God!’” Kevin said. “I started to turn flush!” The ticket had matched six main numbers and the Bonus to win.
“Theresa at first thought I was pulling her chain when I called to tell her,” he said. “Then she started to jump and scream!”
The couple plans to pay some debt, top up their investments and maybe buy a car or something for their kids. But there is something extra special the two would love to do.
“We might go to Vegas!” Kevin and Theresa laughed. “We’ve always wanted to see Elton John there!”
