ATLANTIC LOTTERYS ATLANTIC 49 MAKES EDMUNDSTON MAN $1,000,000 RICHER
November 22, 2011
Edmundston was abuzz Sunday morning with news that someone had purchased a top-prize winning Atlantic 49 ticket in the city; someone was about to become $1-million richer!
Sylvio O’Neil St. Pierre is that happy someone, and Atlantic Lottery travelled to Edmundston today to present him with his whopping $1-million cheque.
“I was listening to the radio, heard that there was a $1-million winner, wrote down the numbers, and then discovered that my numbers were a match,” recalls Sylvio of his winning moment. “My family has been very excited to hear the news, and me... I haven’t slept since!”
Sylvio divulged that the majority of his windfall will be set aside as savings, but what lottery win is complete without a little indulgence? And for Sylvio, the indulgence comes in the form of a shiny new set of wheels.
The regular player of LOTTO MAX, LOTTO 6/49, TAG and Atlantic 49 says that he’ll still be purchasing his tickets, ‘the same as always.’ And with Wednesday’s LOTTO 6/49 jackpot at an estimated $30-million, and Friday’s LOTTO MAX at $50-million plus an estimated 17 MAXMILLIONS, it’s easy to see why.
La P’tite Boucherie Inc. in Edmundston, N.B. will receive a one percent seller’s prize for selling the winning ticket.
