ANNIVERSARY TRIP TOPS BEDFORD MANS LIST

Everybody has a list of things they would do if they won the Lottery. James Atkinson of Bedford plans to use his Hoosier Lottery winnings to take his wife on a vacation for their 52nd wedding anniversary this spring after winning $120,000 on a Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off. Also high on Atkinson’s list is simply enjoying true financial peace of mind for the first time in 60 years.
The Indiana Gas Company retiree purchased his lucky winning ticket at Speedway at 11884 U.S. Hwy 50 West in Bedford Nov. 4 and spent a long weekend waiting for the Lottery office to open Monday, Nov. 7 so he could claim his prize.
“It was a long, long weekend. I didn’t sleep much at all, but I think I’ll sleep a lot better now,” said Atkinson.
