ANNAPOLIS WOMAN SITS ON $30,000 PRIZE FOR A MONTH

A 50-year-old Annapolis woman waited an entire month to claim a $30,000 prize she won on the Cash Craze Crossword scratch-off. She told Lottery Officials that she locked the ticket under the seat in her truck and drove around knowing that the ticket was sitting right below her.
“I just wasn’t in any rush,” said the excited winner. “It just felt so good knowing that the money was coming.” The child care provider said she bought the ticket a month ago on her way to visit her goddaughter. She and a friend stopped to get gas and she decided to buy three Cash Craze Crossword scratch-offs. The winner scratched the tickets a bit later revealing her good fortune. “It didn’t seem real, so I went back to the store to have them confirm it,” she said.
The lucky player said she will use some of the winnings to help her family, which includes four siblings. The winning ticket was sold at Annapolis Exxon located at 1926 West Street in Annapolis.
