24 FROM METROPOLITAN AREA PARTICIPATE IN NEW YORK LOTTERYS $1,000,000 POWERBALL HOLE IN ONE EVENT

The New York Lottery held one of seven planned Powerball Hole in One regional events at the Breezy Point Executive Golf Course in Far Rockaway, Queens on September 20. The event gave 25 regional finalists an opportunity to make a hole in one at the 2nd hole from a distance of 150 yards. All the regional finalists were randomly selected from sweepstakes entries received from the New York City metropolitan area to participate in the event. None of the day’s hopefuls sunk the $1,000,000 shot, but all walked off the green with prizes ranging from $1,000 cash to Powerball merchandise packages valued at $200 each.
Winners to receive cash prizes in addition to Powerball prize packages include:
First Prize of $1,000 cash for coming closest to the pin: Manuel Pamulo Jr. of Floral Park, Nassau County
Second Prize of $500 cash for coming 2nd closest to the pin: Peder Traland of Staten Island, Richmond County
Third Prize of $250 cash for coming 3rd closest to the pin: Mark Pinnock of Springfield Gardens, Queens County
