2012 ALREADY PROSPEROUS FOR WASHINGTONIANS ACROSS THE STATE
January 6, 2012
Jaclyn Lew of Pullman won $160,000 playing Hit 5. This wasn't her first big win, though. "I won $10,000 playing Match 4 last summer," she explained. The 29-year-old works and purchased her ticket at My Office Bar and Grill on South Grand Avenue in Pullman and plays the Lottery every day.
"I buy a Match 4 ticket every day and a Hit 5 ticket for every drawing," Jaclyn said. "With my Match 4 win last summer I bought a lot of toys." These "toys" included all-terrain vehicles and WaveRunners.
"I'm planning to save this big win, though," Jaclyn added. Her coworkers were very excited, and her customers will likely be ecstatic for her as well.
Washington's west side also had a big winner this week. Vicente Santiago of Tacoma won $250,000 playing Mega Millions. "I found out I won on Christmas night but kept it a secret until now," he explained.
The 37-year-old attributes his win to a blessing from God. "Our pastor at church was talking about asking God for blessings and for big things. So I said, 'Ok God, you know our situation, please help us out.' And here I am $250,000 richer," Vicente exclaimed.
Vicente purchased his ticket at the J&P Deli Mart in Tacoma on Portland Avenue South. The store will receive a $2,500 retail selling bonus for selling the winning ticket.
