$200,000 POWERBALL WINNER ATTRIBUTES BIG WIN TO POSITIVE ATTITUDE
June 9, 2011
TACOMA: Nathan Rowley is a very smart man for his young age. The 22-year-old Tacoma resident may have already learned what takes some people a lifetime. It never hurts to think positively. While many Lottery players have their own personal strategy for winning, Nathan had no idea that when he started reading, “The Secret,” – a book showcased on the Oprah Winfrey show that hails the power of positive thinking – It would lead to a $200,000 Powerball win!
“This was only the fifth time I’d ever played the Lottery,” Nathan recalled. “I made a point to have an amazing attitude all week. I visualized winning all week. When I saw the numbers match I wasn’t that surprised.”
Nathan is a sub-contractor for his father’s business and works all over western Washington. “It was completely random that I bought the ticket at Jackson’s on Mercer Island on Thursday,” he explained. “I had never even been there before.”
Nathan has some fun plans for his winnings. “I plan to buy two cars – one new car, either an Audi or a Subaru, and the other an old muscle car so I can repair it and fix it up,” he said. He also plans to take his girlfriend to a nice dinner, help fund his father’s business, and get out of debt. The rest will go to his savings.
“I absolutely attribute the win to a positive attitude and positive thinking,” Nathan added. “As my mom says, ‘there is no luck!’”
