Denise Webb rides the metro into the District of Columbia to catch her ride to work. While filling up at the gas station, Webb decided to buy a few D.C. Lottery POWERBALL tickets with Power Play for the July 6, 2011 drawing.
“I checked my tickets because someone mentioned it to me.”
Looking online, Webb couldn’t believe that she had won $10,000 plus the Power Play number was two, doubling her win to $20,000!
“I’m very excited about the win. I need the money. I’m going to pay off some bills.”
Webb, who lives in Temple Hills, MD, bought her winning ticket at Parkway Shell, 1765 New York Avenue, N.E.
