$10,000 MILLION DOLLAR RAFFLE AND INSTANT TICKET PRIZES CLAIMED
January 19, 2012
Two $10,000 winners who came in this week had something other than the prize amount in common - each of their parents bought the tickets for them.
A young woman from West Warwick cashed in her $10,000 winning Barrel of Bucks Instant Ticket that she received as a Christmas gift from her dad. She's not sure why she waited until this morning to scratch the ticket, but it was a great surprise. Her dad will definitely get something nice as a thank you, but she also plans to put the money towards getting a car.
Cumberland Farms at 785 Tiogue Ave., Coventry sold the winning ticket.
One of the $10,000 Million Dollar Raffle prizes was also claimed. This prize was won by a man from Maine. His parents were visiting Rhode Island and went to Twin River. They saw the information on the Million Dollar Raffle and called him up to see if he'd be interested in getting a ticket. He plans to share some of the winnings with them as they were the reason for his good fortune. There are still three more $10,000 winning Million Dollar Raffle tickets that are unclaimed, including another ticket sold at Twin River.
