$1,000,000 POWERBALL TICKET SOLD IN KENTUCKY!
September 23, 2011
Although no one hit the $25 million Powerball jackpot last night there was a ticket worth $1,000,000 sold in Kentucky. The $1 million ticket matched all five numbers but not the Powerball in Wednesday night’s drawing. The lucky ticket holder(s) also chose to play the Power Play feature. The second prize would normally pay $200,000 but by selecting Power Play, the prize is an automatic win of $1 million. Power Play costs $1 per Powerball play.
The winning numbers were: 12-47-48-52-55 and the Powerball was 13. The Power Play number was 4.
Kentucky Lottery Corporation officials encourage the ticket holder(s) to sign the back of the ticket immediately. The winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
The winning ticket was sold at Prime Star #7 on 980 S. Main Street in Nicholasville. The retailer will receive $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.
