$10,000 WINNING POWERBALL TICKET CLAIMED

The $10,000 winning PowerBall ticket sold in Rhode Island for the August 4 PowerBall drawing was claimed by a Cranston man.
The winner just bought a house and said he'll be putting the money in the bank for now.
The winning quick pick ticket was purchased from Stop & Shop at 275 Warwick Ave., Cranston.
The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall number, for a $10,000 prize. The winner did not purchase the Power Play feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If he had, the $10,000 prize would have been increased to $40,000.
