$10,000 WINNING POWERBAL TICKET CLAIMED
May 23, 2012
A $10,000 winning PowerBall ticket sold in Rhode Island from the May 5th PowerBall drawing was claimed this morning by a woman from East Greenwich.

She mentioned that she always forgets to check her tickets because she thinks she'll never win.  However, she heard on the radio that there was an unclaimed $10,000 PowerBall ticket from Greenwich Liquors at 2550 South County Trail in East Greenwich.  She promptly checked her ticket, since she bought it there, and discovered it was indeed the $10,000 winner.

The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall number, for a standard payout of $10,000.
